Autumn Russian Rock

The arrival of autumn is an excellent occasion to speak out about sore, to release from your head serious thoughts and against the backdrop of a fading nature to think about the eternal. Russian rock music has always lived close to poetry - it's the capacity of images and parallels, it's worth remembering at least the complex text of Ilya Kormiltsev for Nautilus or the vast esotericism of Edmund Shklarsky from Picnic. Autumn and Russian rock are very close because of the mostly gloomy images accompanying the music of dissidents: it's only worth listening to the text. One of the most "autumn" songs by Vyacheslav Butusov "Hawkeye Wedding" was, it is true, written not by Kormiltsev. The text of the song is a translation of the poem by Hungarian poet Endre Adi, a well-known representative of the movement of revolutionary democracy in his country. It is difficult to say unambiguously what this song is about: its heroes, birds, leave their native lands, becoming "exiles of the summer", and do not know where they will eventually have to stop for the winter: there is a fight, after which the lovers "fall on the fallen leaves." Love is not just a tragedy. The younger group "TonightNight", sensational in the early 2000s, responds to the "autumn" rock challenge with a lighter and ironic composition "Whom Welcomes". A slightly naive motive and simple lyrics about how to lose one's head due to overwhelmed feelings can each give a contrast to our selection. On the other hand, this touching lyrics tells of self-sacrifice at the decline of the natural cycle. "I again was nowhere to be" - echoes many of us the lyrical hero of vocalist Nikita Kozlov. And, at the same time, he is ready to become anyone, just to be close to his beloved. In the song "Vereteno" by Konstantin Kinchev, the arrival of autumn, when "the rains have lost their patch in the woods," only one chorus is replaced by a "white gimp", which literally "turns time". Autumn turmoil will usually end in a snowy silence, but as a result, the same leader of Alisa leaves a hint in the song for the early arrival of spring - this, perhaps, we will soon talk in one of the following collections. Let's sum up the story of autumn rock rock - the composition "What is Autumn" by Yuri Shevchuk from the album "Actress Spring" in 1992, widely replicated as the main anthem of the withering period. In the video for this song, Yuri Yulianovich strolls through the autumn park in St. Petersburg in the company of fellow musicians: Vyacheslav Butusov and Konstantin Kinchev. All these and other compositions of Russian rock classics sprinkled with a carpet of yellow leaves - listen and download in our big autumn collection!
